Participation Requirements

In order for NCAA DI College Coaches to attend evaluation and exposure showcase the event must be must be certified by the NCAA (see Certified Basketball Events and Summer Leagues).

In Order to participate in any NCAA DI Certified event the participating teams and all coaches who will sit on the bench must:

  1. Register and confirm to Player’s Choice 1, LLC that each team has been registered through the NCAA BBCS Online System (see NCAA Team Registration).


  2. Register "ALL" team coaches through the LexisNexis Coaches' Approval and provide Player’s Choice 1, LLC with each Coach’s NCAA Approval Number that each coach’s name appears on the LexisNexis "List of Approved Coaches" (see NCAA Coaches Approval Program).


  3. Registration on LexisNexis Coaches' Approval web site does not register your team with the Player’s Choice 1, LLC. You mist "ALSO" register you’re Coaches and team roster on the Player’s Choice 1, LLC web based Team Registration System. All teams must complete and submit to the Player’s Choice 1, LLC a team roster and player profiles for each player in order to participate in the Showcase. The registration form and Player Profiles can be found on the Player’s Choice 1, LLC’s web site: (see Player’s Choice 1 Coaches/team Registration).


  4. The registration fee must be paid to Player’s Choice 1, LLC prior to participating in any NCAA Certified event. The only permissible registration fees (including any early registration discounts) are those which have been filed with the NCAA through their certification process. No other discounts, waivers etc., are permitted.

If we do not have "ALL" of NCAA and Player’s Choice 1, LLC requirements 14 days before the start of the Showcase we may have to replace the teams. We do not want to take this course of action but the NCAA does not leave me any discretion in this matter. If we fail to uphold the NCAA rules and regulations, we will loose my tournament's certification. Failure to register or to submit all required information in the NCAA BBCS system will result in the team being denied participation in all NCAA certified summer events. The NCAA also states that:

"If an unapproved coach shows up at your event, they should be with held from any and all coaching activities. Their participation without an approval would render the event ineligible for next spring."

NCAA Team Registration

All teams participating at an NCAA certified event must register online prior to reporting to participate in the event. Coaches are expected to keep their online rosters updated. The same address and telephone number cannot be utilized for multiple athletes. Coaches will need to "opt in" to all events in which the team will participate. When you go to the BBCS On-line system you will need to go to the Team Coaches / Team Registration section and begin the registration process. If you have any questions you can get on-line help HERE

NCAA Coaches Approval Program

All individuals who engage in coaching activities at an NCAA-certified event must be approved prior to participation through the NCAA Coaches' Approval Program. The approval program is now available on the LexisNexis Coaches' Approval.

You will receive an e-mail when you have registration has been confirmed. To be sure that your name appears on the list of approved coaches check the web site on the List of Approved Coaches.
